Dr. Baudino believes that therapeutic strategies should be tailored uniquely to the individual, utilizing specific goals and tools for your child and your family circumstances. Her goal is to find approaches and tools that will actually be used in everyday life. She uses preventative strategies and “options parenting”, which allows you to address situations in the moment based on your child’s developmental and actual age with an understanding of the child’s specific capabilities.
Dr. Baudino focuses on a mind/body approach, including Dance/Movement Therapy, which encompasses more than just verbal communication. Dance/Movement therapy is the therapeutic use of movement to further the emotional, cognitive, physical and social integration of the individual based on the empirically premise that the body, mind, and spirit are interconnected. The body exhibits emotions and psychological experiences through movement patterns, and by identifying and bringing awareness to these connections, families can reach their maximum potential for overall health and well-being.
